In composing this article about name plaques I think we will work backwards in age from when we are a teenager and then go all the way back in time to that of being a baby.
In our early teenage years were we not under the impression that we were oh so grown up? That we were right about everything and most of all we demanded our privacy. What better way was there to keep all our personal belongings, love letters and above all our mess away from the prying eyes of our parents, other than to stick a notice on the bedroom door saying
MY ROOM - PRIVATE KEEP OUT!!!
These hand drawn notices were a real deterrent!!
Children seem to like the fact that the bedroom they sleep in is entirely their own. Parents also like to know that the bedroom they have allocated to the little one certainly belongs to the little one. This is very cleverly done by means of a name plaque hanging either on the door of the said bedroom or in the room itself strategically placed on the wall for all to see so anyone visiting the family home immediately understands who sleeps there.
Our good-looking plaques in an great stitch effect finish would look fantastic on any child's nursery, bedroom or playroom door. As always they come in pink for the girls and blue for the boys. Any name can be used in this design up to 12 characters.
Whilst on the subject of wall mounted gifts and moving on through the years to when the kids reach a certain age, why not have a look at our Confirmation and Bat and Bar-Mitzvah china plates
Don’t forget the glue or hammer and nails!
